I’ve been thinking a lot about Death.
Those who’ve died, those who will, and the space in between where the rest of us wait.
That space in between can be regarded as survival or, optimistically, it can be viewed as resilience.
Maybe that’s the mirror side of “Rest in Peace;”
“Resilience in progress.”
There’s something to be said about not dying with your dead. Something was ripped away from you- a piece of you gone forever- and the rest of you needs to find a way to move forward even though you’re bleeding out with grief.
Let them rest in peace. Be comforted that they’re waiting for you, too. Be grateful you’re still here having been witness to their life, with more chapters to write yourself.
